Sir,
I have the honour to transmit for your consider- ation and instructions, if possible by telegram, the enclosed copy of a minute by the Attorney General on the question of the disposal of certain bills bought by the Deutsch-Asiatische Bank in this Colony which as you are aware is being wound up by the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank.

I have allowed the clean bills to be sent to the Deutsch-Asiatische Bank in Shanghai, and I desire your instructions as to how the documentary bills, a list of which is enclosed, should be dealt with.
