REG 24

1.

Messages will be stopped if

The sender or addressee is a person (or institution)

in a neutral country who (or which) has undertaken to forward the

information to or from German territory.

2.

The signature or address is known to be deliberately and intentionally false and to hide the identity of the real sender

or addressee.

4.

The telegram is despatched with the evident intent- ion of defeating the due course of the law of the Colony.

The parties are known to have arranged, or to have endeavoured to arrange, a private code in plain language.

5.

The telegram is despatched in contravention of the regulations or instructions for the time being in force.

6.

The sender or addressee is on a list of suspects supplied by the General Staff.

7.

It is evident from the text of the telegram that it is sent to assist trade with Germany or Austris through a neutral port in Europe.

8.

The text of the telegram indicates an enquiry or report as to the welfare of Germans or Austrians made through an unauthorised channel. (As these telegrams to and from Denmark, Holland, Italy and Switzerland convey information to and from Germany it is important that the information should be passed only

through the proper diplomatic channels).

9.

The sender has refused to explain the meaning of the text when asked to do so, or has given an unsatisfactory explanat-

ion.
