As the work in connection with the New Govern-
ment Offices is now nearing completion, I have the
honour to apply for a gratuity for the extra work of a
most trying professional nature which I have performed.
I have no desire to refer unduly to the matter
as this has been dealt with in other minutes, I will
suffice by stating that the difficulty of making the
best of this work has fallen on me, I have also effected
a Baving of public funds wherever it was prudent to do

the fact that since the Consulting Architects ceased to
act at the beginning of the year 1910, that besides my
ordinary duties with regard to this work I have performed
