A copy of the latest edition of the Colonial Meulations

is enclosed. The appointment is under the Colonial Government, und your emoluments will be paid solely from the funds of the Colony.

b. if you are prepared to accept the appointment on these conditions, you should present yourself to one

of the medical advisors of this Department, whose names are given on the enclosed letter, for the purpose of being modicully examined. The letter is to be luft with him; and J ou will be required to pay him a feo of 0.10 guinda. he will send his roport direct to this

Lepartment.

If finall, sulucted for the probationary sppointment, you will be provided with a free first class paccago to the Colony by a stesor other than a mail stemmer, on J our signing the usual agreement with the Crown agents for the Colonies, Aiteball cardens, S.4. by which you will be bound to repay to the Colonial Government the cost of your passite in the event of your leaving the service within three years of the date of your arrival in the Colony for any other reason than mental or physical informity.

You will be entitled to half salary from the date of your embarkation from this country, and to full salary from the date of your arrival in the Colony: In the event of your appointment being cancelled, you will not be entitled to any leave of absence or pay after the date of the letter by which the cancellation
