At the Police Court yesterday afternoon,Mr Wood returned verdict of accidental death in the case of Ralph Millar, the young constable who died on August 4th from a wound caused by the discharge of a pistol at the Central Station. Dr.Bell gave evidence that the bullet entered the left side and emerged on the right and an armourer sergeant deposed to the pistol being defective in that the safety catch did not lock the hammer.
