ROBERT CAMERON, Detective Inspector, Aberdeen City Police,
States:-
With reference to letter of 26th September, from Messrs Pickfords Ltd., Shipping Agents, 57 Gresham Street, London, E. C., regarding three cases having been sent from Aberdeen to Hong Kong by the witness Milne, I
on 29th September, 1914, was instructed to make enquiry, by Detective Superintendent M'Connach. I afterwards
saw the witness Milne and got up the foregoing statement. There is no firm of the name of Messrs. T. H. Smith,
Manufacturing Chemists, in Aberdeen.
I have learned that there is a firm "Messrs ". & H.
Smith" Manufacturing Chemists, Wheatfield Road, Edinburgh,
who have also a business at 22 City Road, London, E.C.,
and 37 Washington Street, Glasgow, and that they are
large Exporters of Morphia.
