for the time being. A copy of the latest edition

of the Regulations is enclosed. The appointment is under the Colonial Government and your maolyments will be paid from the funds of the colony.

6. If you are prepared to accept the appointment on these conditions, you should present yourself to the „edical ¿dviser whose name is given on the enclosed letter, for the purpose of being medically examined. The letter is to be left with the Ledical Adviser and he will send his report direct to this Department. his fee will be paid by the Crown Agents for the colonies, and if it is necessary for you to travel by rail for the purpose of the exavination your return fare (third class) will be refunded to you on your informing this Department of the amount.

7. If finally selected for the probationary appointment, you will be provided with a free first

class passage to the colony on your signing the

usual agreement with the Crown Agents for the

Colonies, shitehall Gardens, daw., by which you

will be bound to repay its cost to the colonial Goverment in the event of your leaving the service

of the Goverment within three years of the date

of your arrival in the colony for any other reason

than mental or physical infirmity.

8. You will be entitled to half salary from

the date of your embarkation from this country, and to full salary from the date of your arrival in the

Colony.
