13, Pearson Avenue,

The Park, Hull,

5th May, 1908.

MISS MARY COOPER was an Assistant in the Central Secondary School, Hull, from January, 1906, to the time of my leaving in July, 1907.

MISS COOPER, who is a Graduate in Arts, was, on account of her proficiency in Latin, appointed as teacher of this subject, to which a considerable proportion of her time was devoted, though in addition she also successfully taught English, Geography, and Elementary Mathematics.

I found her a thoroughly conscientious, hard- working teacher, anxious to do her best for the boys and

girls committed to her charge.

Her additional experience in a large school during

the last two and a half years will be very valuable to her in filling the position of Assistant in a Secondary School.

I have pleasure in recommending MISS COOPER to your favourable notice.

(Signed)

J. W. SMITH, B.A. (Lon}.
