Union, the adhesion of China to that Convention will not necessarily involve the determination of the existing Parcel Post Agreement between Hong Kong and China; and he has suggested that, in these circumstances, the Chinese Post Office will perhaps consider it inadvisable to disturb the present arrangements in this connexion.
The Postmaster General has also enquired whether the application of the regulations of the Postal Union Convention will be confined to the postal service in the 18 provinces of China proper, or will be extended to include Manchuria and the outlying territories. If any information on this point has been received in your Office, the Postmaster General will be much obliged if you will be so good as to acquaint him with its purport.
