by your good conduct deserved it. If not previously teminated or expressly continued the appointment will cease at the end of the said three years and you will then be given a free passage back to this country provided that your work and conduct have been satisfactory. If it is continued you will be placed on the pensionable establishment and your salary will be raised to £330 rising to £360 after a further period of three years. In that event your first three yeers' service will count as service for the purposes of leave and pension but you will lose your right to

shews the main rules as to leave and pension which

apply to officera on the seimament est÷blishment. You will note that from the date at which your appointment

is made permanent you will be required to contribute

4' of your salary to the Adows' and Orphans' Pensions Fund of the Colony.

3. It is also to be understood that your services

will be available for any duties upon which the Governor,

in the intereat of the public service, may think it

desirable to employ you, and that it will be within his discretion to station you wherever he may consider that your presence will be most useful.
