The Assistant Secretary,

Board of Trade (Commercial Dept.),

Dear Sir,

Gwydyr House,

S. W.

Ref. 0.17585.

Since writing you on the 27th inst. Messrs.

Arnhold, Karberg & Co. have informed us that Messrs.

Jardine, Mathieson & Co. have been appointed by the British Government as Liquidators of the Hong Kong branch of their business, and they suggest that the

goods we have on order be shipped by Jardine, Mathieson

& Co., and that payment be made by us to that firm.

Is this permissible under the circumstances

already explained to you?

If you will kindly let us have a reply to this

and the two questions in ours of the 27th inst. we shall

be greatly obliged.
