also to suggest that a copy of the enclosed statement of
the Government of India's proposals for regulating the
grant of certificates should be communicated to the
Goverment of Portugal.. It is proposed to give
instructions for their being brought into effect
immediately, if the Portuguese Government agree to appoint
an Agent as suggested above.
I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your
letter. No.43932, of the 3rd October approving the
proposal, put forward in this Office letter of the 25th
September as to the yearly term to be adopted under the
Agreement, and to state that the necessary instructions
are being conveyed to the Government of India.
