The Hague, August 4, 1914. WITH reference to your despatch No. 94 of the 30th ultimo, I have the honour to inform you that, in reply to a note which I addressed to him on the subject, the Netherlands Minister for Foreign Affairs states that he is glad to learn that the Egyptian Government are ready to adhere to the International Opium Convention, and that the Netherlands diplomatic agent at Cairo has been instructed to address a formal invitation to them in that sense.
