With reference to your letter of the 7th instant 30 (27925/1914) on the subject of the expenses incurred

in connection with the case of the fugitive offender

Alfred Beer, I am directed by Secretary Sir Edward Grey

to state, for the information of Mr. Secretary Harcourt

that he sees no objection to the inclusion of the

telegraphic charges in the account. It will be ob-

served from the Swiss Minister's note of the 4th ultimo,

a copy of which was enclosed in my letter of the 7th

ultimo that the expenses (including cost of telegrams)

were guaranteed.
