*Limited" on their title, I think it would
be well that they should no longer occupy n
privileged position being not under the name
control as "China Companies", while, as has
already been found in practice, being free of
any control by the Supreme Court of Hongkong,
the Filot Associations have, I think, no wish
to evade the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court
here.
2. As to Life and Fire Insurance Companies,
the Companies Ordinance, 1911, provides by
article 268 that "nothing in this Grdinance
'shall affect the provisions of the Life In-
'surance Companies Ordinance, 1907, or the
"Insurance Companies Ordinance, 1908."
If
any such article is embodied in the proposed
new liongkong Companies Ordinance the powers
of control given by the ordinances of 1967
and
