uncertificated Indian Opius to be sold in 1914 was

fixed, in September last, by the Goverment of India

at 13,200 sheets - an increase of 4200 chests over

the wout sold in 1913. Hy opinions, in strong

disfavour of any incremes in the export of mcertifi

cuted epian, were fully laid out in my despatch lo

450 of December 3rd last, copy of which we went to

the Government of India. In that despatch I gave it

as my opinion that the maximum requiramente of non-

China countries in 1914 would be 9000 chests: and I

have no regon to alter this opinion.
