day of August One thousand nine hundred and thirteen Between The Crown Agents for the Colonies of Whitehall Gardens, London in the County of Middlesex acting for and on behalf of the Government of Hong Kong (hereinafter
called the Government) of the one port and
David James Brown of "Afton". Veceport Boad. Cowes, Isle of Wight in Hampshire of
the other part.
Whereby it is agreed by and between the parties hereto as
follows =
The said David James Brown (hereinafter called the peroom engaged is hereby selected' for appointment hereinafter last forth to be a Second Claws Averoor in the Public Works Department of Hong Kong. The perpm engaged shall proceed to Hong Kong (hereinafter called the Colony) when directed by the Crown Agents for the Colonies there to perform the duties of the appointment for of period of Three years commencing from the date of his arrival in the Colony which prefiod may be extended
as provided in Flause 10.
