5. The Engineers may from time to time delegate to any person or persons to be named by them such of the powers authorities and discretions vested in them by this Contract as they respectively may think fit and the Contractors shall recognize such person or persons on written notice from the Engineers or his or their appointment and of the powers authorities and discretions respectively delegated to him or them as lawfully exercising for the purpose of this Contract the powers and authorities so delegated provided that (except as therein mentioned) the Engineers shall not delegate the powers conferred on them by Clause 18 of the Special Conditions.
6. The Contractors shall within the following periods furnish the following drawings for approval by the Engineers that is to say :-
(A) Detail drawings of the plant including masts and aerial within one month of the execution of this Contract and before any plant or work is put in hand.
(B) Drawings shewing arrangement of plant and the dimen- sions of buildings for same also detail drawings of foundations for plant and masts within six weeks of the execution of this Contract.
(c) Drawings shewing space required by the masts aerial and earth system within six weeks of the execution of this Contract.
(D) Erection drawings and" drawings as made "consisting of Velograph tracings in triplicate shewing the whole of the plant and apparatus for the station in its final form to be supplied when the plant is shipped.
The approval by the Engineers of the above-mentioned drawings shall in no way relieve the Contractors from any responsibility in con- nection with the due performance of this Contract
7. The Contractors shall not assign lease or cede this Contract or the benefit thereof or any part thereof or any moneys payable hereunder or sublet the services to be rendered as aforesaid or any Agents or the part thereof to any other person firm or Company without the previous permission of the Government certified in writing under the hand of the Crown Agents or of the Engineers and no assignment lease cession or subletting although so permitted shall exonerate the Contractors from their liability under this Contract and the Government shall not be bound or required to take notice of or give effect to any such assignment lease cession or subletting unless the

same shall have been made with such permission as aforesaid. Provided always that the Contractors may procure any necessary materials to be manufactured for the purposes of this Contract from any person firm or Company whose names and particulars of materials ordered shall have been submitted to and approved by the Engineers before the said materials are ordered.
8. The Contractors shall forthwith bond fide commence the Time for
shipping and construction of the works and will thereafter continuously and constructing
the works. diligently proceed with such construction at such a rate as will ensure that the shipment next hereinafter mentioned shall be effected within the time hereinafter provided and the Contractors shall procure that all the apparatus materials and things intended to form part of the works and to be manufactured and constructed in any place out of the Colony shall be manufactured constructed packed and shipped in accordance with this Contract on or before the expiration of 26 weeks from the date of the execution of this Contract. If the Engineers in exercise of any power vested in them by this Contract shall substitute in writing a later date for the shipment of the works the Contractors shall complete the same on or before the substituted date as though the same had been originally inserted in the Contract.

The provisions of this Clause shall be in addition and without prejudice to the provisions as to testing contained in the General Conditions.
