Messrs. Preece Cardew & Snell to Crown Agenta.

2015

8, Queen Anne's Gate,

Westminster, S.W.

29th January, 1914.

Closures.

B/201/19

Gentlemen,

We beg to forward herewith the tender of the

Marconi Wireless Telegraph Company for the four Wireleas

Stations at Hong Kong, Singapore, Penang, Mombasa, with

the draft Contract.

You will note that the Company quote an F.0.B.

price and the charge for an Engineer to supervise the

erection, and the drait contract is arranged accordingly.

With regard to the quotations, these are higher

than those sent in last year and the difference is

approximately £500 per station; but we assume that if

the freight is undertaken by you, there will be a saving

on this sum.

We do not think that any lower quotations

could be obtained elsewhere.

We would draw your attention to certain

alterations in the Contract, as drawn up for the Anglo- French Company, in Clauses 4 and 18 or the General Conditions, and Clause 4,8,10,11 and 12 or the Special Conditions; also the omission of Clause 9 of the Special

Conditions. These alterations were requested by the

Company,

and we consider them to be quite reasonable,

We are &c.

(Sd) Preece Cardew & Snell.
