In continuation of Admiralty letter of the 17th
instant, I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the
Admiralty to transmit herewith, to be laid before the
Secretary of State for the Colonies, copy of a telegram
dated the 17th instant, that has been received from the
Commander in Chief, China Station, relative to measures
taken for the suppression of piracy, and I am to state
that the result of the Conference mentioned therein will
be awaited.
A similar letter has been addressed to the
Foreign Office. 18
