With reference to your letter No.14042 of the 25th ultimo, regarding the forms to be used in connection with W/T messages sent through the Station at Cape D'Aguilar, I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, that, as regards the latter part of paragraph 2 of the Governor of Hong Kong's letter, arrangements have been made to instruct the Naval operators in the use of the forms therein mentioned.
I am at the same time to enquire when the erection of the W/T Station at Cape D'Aguilar is expected to be sufficiently far advanced to require the presence of the Naval Operators; and I am to observe that it is considered desirable that the senior of them, at least, should be present at the trials held before acceptance, so that he can acquaint himself fully with the technical details before taking charge of the Station.
