I remember going to the

Wong Ming. Servant to Mr. Remedios.

Post office on a Sunday with Mr. Remedios' son. We went

in at a side door near the tram line. It was open. Te

did not go round by the Praya. I stood on the steps.

Mr, Remedios' son went in and then called me in. I BAT

a board inside. We went with a postman to a gate. Mr.

Remedios' son tried to open the gate but could not and

the postman helped him to open it. Mr. Remedios' son

opened a safe and got out 85.. I went with him to the

safe. The postman went away after we had got inside

the gate.

Then Ur, Martin came and demanded the keys.

ThanI went back to my master and reported that Kr. Martin

had taken away the keys. I had not seen the postman

before. I could not recognise him.

By Colonial Treasurer.

I had never been in the Post Office

before, that is the new office. I have been to the steps

outside.

I was a postman before and I know Mr. Martin,

I did not see Mr. Martin then we got to the Post office.

I do not know the number of the postman, I saw him at

the counter. I met the postman outside the counter.

By Attorney General.

I did not speak to any other postmen.

I did not even sneak to the postman who opened the gate.

(Postman No. 43 is brought in. Witness

(does not recognise him).

whether he is the postman,

I cannot say

I saw.Postman

No. 43, says witness is the Chinese ha

referred to in his evidence.

Witness says No. 43 is lying.
