Kan King Postman No. 43. I remember Sunday 11th October.
About 5 P.M. I saw Mr. Remedios' son and a Chinese in the
Post office. When I first saw them they were near the
place where the stamps are sold. They were passing
along, and went into the parcels room. I asked the
Chinese what they were doing there, and he said the boy's
father had sent him down to get some money. As I had
no power to stop him I reported the matter at once to the
clerk, Fung Yan Kwong. I saw the boy open the gate into
the Parcel room. I was then going to tell lär. Fung.
Mr. Fung went straight to Mr. Martin. I do not know
what the Chinese and the boy did in the parcel room. I
was standing outside the partition and I saw the boy and
the Chinese open a safe. I do not know how they got
into the Post office. I cannot say whether anyone let
them in. The side door next to the Registrar General's
office staircase was open. I do not know whether they
spoke to any other Postman, Postman No. 37 Lo Fat and
another named Li Kam were there.
