Bengal Sea are still fresh in our minds. This druiser was re-
ported in the Yellow Sea, 160 miles west of Osesaki (Japan) on
the 10th of August, and on the 10th of September she appeared in
the Bengal Sea where she captured six British steamers, five of
which she sank and the sixth she left free to go to Calcutta with
the other five oraws on board. During the month that elapsed
between the 10th of August and the 10th of September she must
have run short of coal, and there can be little doubt that she
got a fresh supply from one of the steamers despatched from Manila

the protector on the outside.
