I certify that adequate and timely notifidation was made of the intention of the parties colostried apply to the Legislative Council of Hongkong for an Ordinance styled *An Ordinance to amend the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank Ordinance, 1866 before the same was brought into the Legislative Council. Such notification was made in the manner following:-
Notification of the intention of the parties to apply for the said Ordinance was advertised in two issues of the Gazette on the 31st July, 1914, and 21st August, 1914, and in two issues in two newspapers circulating in the Colony, viz. in an English newspaper "The Hongkong Daily Press" on the 30th July, 1914, and 22nd August, 1914, and in a Chinese newspaper *The Chung Ngoi San Po" on the 30th July, 1914, and 22nd August, 1914. A draft of the proposed said Ordinance was further published in two issues of the Gazette on the 31st July, 1914, and 21st August, 1914.
The proof of the nåtification was made before H.E. the Governor in Executive Council.
