A censored cable from a correspondent BATE at Tientsin to the Exchange Telegraph Company, London, states:-
"German firms domiciled British concession Tientsin "sending quantities food stuffs Teingtau via Chinese "Railway. Consignors device conceal destination being "ostensibly sending cargo Tainanfu".
I have the honour to request that H.B.M.Minister at Peking may be asked to take the necessary steps to prevent this reported breach of neutral China.
