Class Overseers from the Buildings Ordinance office to fill
the latter's place temporarily until a new overseer could be
obtained from England, a message for one being cabled to the
Crown Agents.

With reference to his statement at the top
of this page, I think it would be benefittal to give r, Fisher
to understand that, if he has any desire to resign, no ob-
stacle will be placed in the way of his doing so and no
reflection will be cast upon his personal honour.
13. p. With regard to the further statements on this

designed by Messrs. Aston Webb & Ingress Bell and the Post office by Messrs. Denison, Ram & Gibbs, both of whom were under contract to supply practically the whole of the drawings re-

with assistance prior to 1903 cannot be laid at my door. took charge of the Department o. Kr. Ormsby's departure in
arch 1901 and, in forwarding the Establishment Estimates for 1902, I pointed out that the staff was in my opinion quite inadequate and asked for the appointment of two additional Assistant Engineers. Ky recommendation was submitted by the Secretary of State to Mr. Ormsby, and, as the result, the Secretary of State intimated that only one additional officer would be appointed who would not leave England before the lat January 1902, In conse uence of my further representations,
