GOVERNMENT HOUSE.

HONGKONG.

5th August, 1914.

I have the honour to refer the following particulars

of a proposed exchange of land in Cheung Chau Island for your consideration.

2.

Cheung Chau Inland Lot No.340, 1012 square feet in area, which is shown coloured blue on the accompanying plan, is the site of a hospital, the property of the community and is subject to an annual Crown rent of 50 cents. The community now propose to erect a larger hospital on a more suitable and healthy site and I propose to grant the area 4500 square feet in extent shown hatched red on the plan for the purpose. This site is on the side of a hill, is more isolated and conforms with the proposed laying out scheme for the island.

3.

I propose, if you approve, to grant the exchange without payment of premium, and subject to the old Crown rant of 50 cents per annum; the land, which is of small value, to be used for purposes of a Hospital only.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient,

humble servant,

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE

LEWIS HARCOURT, M.P.
