exclusively appropriated and set apart for the purpose of a Public place of worship for the Sikh and Hindoo Community resid-
ent in the Colony of Hongkong.
Genditions and obligations above referred to.
1. The Committee shall pay into the Colonial Treasury the sum of $1 per annum on the lst day of January in each year as an acknowledgment of this appropriation and shall also pay on demand all taxes, rates, charges and assessments charged upon or in respect of the said let or the buildings thereon.
2. The Committee shall at their own expense maintain to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works for the time being any buildings erected on the said Lot and all fenoes walls drains and water-courses belonging or appertaining thereto.
3. The Director of Public Works and Captain Superintend- ent of Police or any other persons deputed by the Governor my at all times enter upon the said Lot and the buildings thereon to view and see the condition thereof or to see that the condi- tions hereof or of any rules and regulations are complied with.
4. The Governor of Hongkong shall be at liberty at any time to re-enter into and upon the whole or any part of the ground and buildings hereby appropriated if required for a public purpose on first giving to the Committee or leaving on the promises three calendar months' notice in writing of such intention to resume but no ompensation either for the land
resumed or the buildings thereon shall be paid.
B. In the event of the Committee failing to observe any
of the conditions and obligations above referred to or any Rules and regulations made for the management of the said temple or in the event of the said premises ceasing to be used as a public place of worship for the Sikh and Hindoo Community in Hongkong or if in the opinion of the Governor it is not possible
