(7), The Labourer will not work on Sundays nor upon the ugual
Chinese Holidays which shall include the following:-

Chinese Tow Year (two days). 5th of the 8th moon,
18th of the ist moon.
15th of the 7th moon.
Ting Tuit.
but will work on every day not being a Chinese Holiday provided that
the Labourer may be required to work on a Sunday or Chinese Holiday
either in cases of mergency such as fire or fleed or to disebarge
perishable geods or live stecks at overtime rate of wages at 6 cents
per hour.
(8). Should the Labourer be found incompetent to perform his
duties or not turn out to duty without good cause, the Hmployers have
the option of terminating this agreement forthwith with one month's
noties provided that the Employers pay for his passage back to
singapore.
(9). If the Labourer shall abscond, or be arrested, he shall be
liable to pay to the haployers such expenses of his arrest as the
local authority, of the place, where this agreement is to be per-
formed, my dean reasonable.
(10). The above (9) nine articles having been clearly explained
to the Labourer; he has agreed to all of them and has signed this
agreement with the understanding that he shall hereafter observe all
the articles mentioned herein.
