possible, in the future, by excavating into the hill which

adjoins the yard and which is Crown land, to provide for the

accommodation of nineteen more engines and thirty-six more coaches in addition to the fourteen engines and twenty-eight coaches mentioned in paragraph 3.

The estimated value of the land and buildings

which it is desired to acquire is shown in Enclosure 3. The

land is valued at $129,928 and the Crown land which it is pro-

posed to exchange for it is valued at the same figure. This

exchange, if affected, will form a debit to railway account and

a credit to Land Sales. The value of the buildings is estimated at $58,305.38.
