Ree2 10 JUL 14
I beg to inform you that I have a claim of 8600 against Sir F. T. Piggott for services rendered to him in connect- -ion with the revision of the laws of this Colony. He has been paid by the Goverment all the remuneration due to him in connection with the said revision. He has not paid me anything except 100 paid by you on his behalf on the 2nd. instant after he had been threatened
with legal proceedings. There is now a balance of $500 due to me
from him.
He has now left the Colony and I do not know whether or not he will return. I therefore ask that you will be good enough to forward my claim to the Government in case His Excellency the Governor might feel pleased to help me in trying to recover the
game.
I attach herewith copies of two letters from Sir
F. T. Piggott acknowledging his indebtedness to me.
I have etc.,
(Sd.) A. B. Suffiad.

Mr. J. H. Kemp,
Attorney-General,
