Paraphrase of a Cypher Telegram despatched on the
21st. of March, 1914, from the Governor
to the Secretary of State for the
Colonies.
I am told by Admiral Jerram that he proposes to keep the Naval Wireless Station in the "Tamar", as that ship is within the defences of the harbour, a condition which, in the opinion of the Admiral, is, in time of war, essential.
The Colonial Government is ready, if the above be approv- -ed and if you agree, to erect and maintain for commercial purposes, the Wireless Station at Cape D'Aguilar.
