Applying for provisional warrants under Section 8 of the Chinese Extradition Ordinance ..
Taking the statements of the witnesses and laying the same before you, and generally assisting you in such cases.
As to provisional warrants these will only be applied for when the officer shows that he is duly deputed by the proper Authority and if you so desire, before the application for a warrant is made we will lay the information &c., before you for approval.
