(e) The staff consists of 21 trained British Inspec- tors, who give their whole time to Sanitary work, five rural Police who act also as Sanitary Inspec- tore, a storekeeper and 664 Interpreters, Foremen, Artisans, Bullock-drivers, Scavengers, Bargemen, and Spolies whose whole time is occupied in house- cleansing and scavenging, disinfection, clearing brushwood and collecting receptacles for water from the hillsides and waste lands in the neigh- bourhood of dwellings, in oiling pools and other sanitary and anti-malarial works.
