The Committee adjourned at 10.30 a.m. Mr. A. Khan to file his written statement in defence in full on Monday 22nd. instant.

It should here be mentioned that on the 22nd. kr. Alim Khan wrote to the Chairman saying that owing to indisposition he had bee unable to complete his statement; and on the 23rd. he came and sEW the Chainan saying he would complete and read his statement on the 24th. instant.

Mahomed Akbar has been my enemy for years.
Mr. Alim Khan says when asked by the Chairman if he wanted to call witnesses says he could call witnesses to show enmity between Khawas Khan and himself. The Committee is prepared to agree to the fact that there may be enmity.

I handed the Hoshiarpur letter to
the messenger in April to be posted: but no answer was received til
after I left.
