show that they were made or dealt with in any way out of
the ordinary course. It should here be mentioned that
Muhamed Akbar states that he only asked applicants to
split applications for Momy Orders when the total amount required to be transmitted was in excess of the amount
which, by the Post Office Regulations, can be transmitted
on a single Order, and in this case the amount was not of
such excess. It should also be noted that Mr. Dixon, when
his attention was drawn to the acceptance by Khawas Khan
of an application for a Money Order at the Kowloon
Branch in the name of the Official Administrator, inform-
-ed him (Mr. Khawas Khan) that he should not have accept-
-ed such an application from an unknown applicant, and requested Mr. Khawas Khan to ascertain, if possible, who, had sent it; Mr. Khawas Khan informed your Committee that when the unknown Indian brought the application to the office, he, Mr. Khawes Khan, asked the Indian who had sent the Money Order, and the Indian replied, "Baboo
Alim Khan", and Mr. Khawas Khan further states that, after having been told by Mr. Dixon to try and ascertain
who had transmitted the money, he, Mr. Khawas Khan, went the next morning to Mr. Alim Khan's house and there informed Mr. Alim Khan of what had taken place, but that Mr. Alim Khan denied entirely any knowledge of the matter Mr. Alim Khan aduits that this interview took place, but
states now, as he did before to Mr. Khawas Khan, that ha
knew nothing of what nad taken place. The two receipts alleged by Mr. Alim Khan to have been received by him in April from Muhamed Akbar and to have been placed by him in the dossier of the papers of the estate are not forthcoming.
(c). The previous paragraphs gives the two different accounts
of what took place, and it is necessary, as these accounts are totally conflicting, to weigh very care- -fully the probabilities of the truth of both. On the
