Bucknill, Attorney-General, Mr. A. M. Thomson, Acting Colonial
Secretary, and Mr. A. G. M. Fletcher, Acting Colonial Trassurer.
After a lengthy hearing extending over eleven days the Committee
on the 15th. January presented two reports, one signed by kr...
Buckmill and kr. Thomson and the other signed by Ir. Fletcher, and
they also forwarded notes of the evidence and a statement by Kr.
Alim Khan. I enclose copies of these documents.

The matter came before the Full Council on the
29th. January. Mr. Bucknill and Mr. Thomson explained that their
report was not to be interpreted as being in any way an exculpation
of Er. Alim Khan, and they concurred with the other members in
unanimously recommending that he should be dismissed from the
Service. I attach a copy of the minutes of the Iesting. I entirely
concur with the opinion of the Council, that no lesser punishment
than dismissal would adequately meet the case.
6.
I shall be glad if your decision may be
communicated by telegraph.
