The charges against Captain Taylor are contained in a
letter dated 10th October 1913 from The Honourable The Colonial
Secretary to the Harbour Laster, This letter was followed by
some correspondence, bearing upon the nature of the charges, "hich
passed between the Honourable The Colonial Secretary and the Har-
bour Baster and which is contained in the following letters;-
1. 14th October 1913-llarbour Haster to Colonial Secretary 2. 28th October 1913, Colonial Secretary to Harbour Laster. 3. 1st November 1913, Harbour Master to Colonial Secretary 4. 5th November 1913-Colonial Secretary to Harbour kaster. 5. 7th ovember 1913, Harbour Master to Colonial Secretary. 丘

Your Committee heard evidence from Commaider Chatles
William Bekkwith, late R.N. Assistant Harbour aster. Both before
and after the taking of Commander Beckwith's evidence, Captain
Taylor made certain statements, a copy of the notes of which to-
gether with the notes of the evidence given by Commander Beckwith
is attached hereto, marked "A".
