With reference to my letter No. 3417/13 of the
29th. July and to your reply dated the 2nd. August I am directed to inform you that you have failed to exculpate yourself to the satisfaction of the Governor, and that the matter will be brought before a Committee of the Executive Council at 10 a.m. on the 22nd. August at the Council Chamber.
I am further to inform you that you will be allowed
to attend before the Committee to defend yourself orally, and you my call any witnesses required for your defence. If you will send the names of such witnesses to this office by Tuesday the 19th. August steps will be taken to have them present.
