in force for the time being, and to the General Orders issued from time to time by the Colonial Government.
A copy of the latest edition of the Colonial Regulations is enclosed.
The appointment is under the Colonial Government, and your emoluments will be paid solely from the funds of the Colony.
5. If you are prepared to accept the appointment on these conditions, you should present yourself to one of the Medical Advisers of this Department, whose numes are given on the enolased letter, for the purpose of being codically examined. The letter is to be left with him; and you will be required to pay him a fee of one guinea, He will send his report direct to this Department.
6. If finally selected for the probationary appointment, you will be provided with a free first class passage to the olony by a ateamer other than a mail stemmer, on your signing the usual agreement with the Crown Agents for the Colonies, Whitehall Cardens, 3.7., by which you will be bound to repay to the Colonial Goverment the cost of your passage in the event of your leaving the service within three years of the date of your arrival in the Colony for any other reason than mental or physical infimity.
7. You will be entitled to half salary from the date of your barkation from this country, and to full
