the General Orders issued from time to
time by the Colonial Government and to
the Colonial Regulations in force for
the time being. A copy of the latest
edition of the Regulations is enclosed.
The appointment is under the Colonial
Government and your emoluments will
be paid solely from the funds of the
Colony.
In the event of your wish-
ing to leave the service during the period of your original engagement or
of any extension of it you will be re-
quired to give three months' notice
or to pay to the Government a sum
equal to three months' salary.
