sir,
Indian and Colonial Appointments. No. 61CM.
Junior Assistant Mastership, Hong Kong.
I have yours of 26th. instant with reference to Mr.
William Kay, Assistant Master in Brechin High School, who is
an applicant for the above post. I have no hesitation in
strongly recommending Mr. Kay, who distinguished himself in
Mathematics and Chemistry and graduated in Arts. I understand
he is a very good teacher. He was an enthusiastic territorial
under my command in the 6th. Royal Scots, and acted as Orderly
Room Sergeant. He discharged those duties to my entire satis-
faction and I have formed a very high opinion as to his capacity.
I have the honour to be
sir,
Your obedient Servant,
Sr Gergelle Grae.
