"I have seen Mr. Kay today and heard him conduct
a class in Mathematics and had some conversation with
him. His manner in teaching is energetic and stimu-
lating, and his exposition is lucid and pointed. Per-
sonally he is quite pleasant and he expressed himself
with confidence and considerable fluency. The Head-
master tells me that he takes charge of the school
games and manages them very well. Except that he is
slightly under the average height, I have nothing but
what is favourable to report of him. He seems to me
well suited for this appointed."
