REMARKS:
Mr. Kay is a Scotsman by birth and has spent all his
life in Scotland. On leaving School in 1904 be became a pupil
teacher for three years. He then proceeded to Edinburgh
University where he graduated M.A. with honours in Mathematics
and Natural Philosophy, taking honoure classes in Geology also.
During his University career he went through a three years' course
of training at the Edinburgh Provincial Training College. Mr.
Kay has had three years' teaching experience, his present appoint-
ment (which he has held since August 1912) is that of Assistant
Mathematical and Science Master at Brechin High School.
Mr. Kay gives the impression of being a smart and clear
headed man with ability above the average. He is reported by
H. M. Inspectors to be a good teacher. He plays games himself
and is accustomed to organising school games, In education and
experience he seems quite well qualified for the present appointment.
He is unmarried.
