dia dated Karch, 1913. India 12th
With reference to your letter of the 27th January,
No.7/Misc./3604 (F.3), I am directed to forward for the
information of the Army Council copies of telegrams to and
from the Government of India regarding the case of Ismail
Khan who has applied for the grant of pension in respect of
his combined service in the Fong Kong Regiment and Hong Kong
Police. It will be observed that the Government of India
state that, in the circumstances of the case, had the man
Joined the Indian Police instead of the Eong Kong Police,
they would probably have recommended for the approval of the
Secretary of State in Council of India, the condonation of
the break in Ismail Khan's services and this would only have
been sanctioned upon the acceptance by your Department of
liability for a proportion of the Indian Pension resulting
from the addition of the period of service in the Hong Kong
Regiment.
