The Chinese Minister presents his compliments to

His Britannic Majesty's Principal Secretary of State
for Foreign Affairs and has the honour to enclose

translation of a telegram he has received from the
Wai-Chiao Pu, dated the 20th instant, regarding the
extradition from Hongkong of an official of the Pro-
vincial Treasury of Kwangtung who has absconded with
$150,000 of Government money and taken refuge in
Hongkong.
The Wai-Chiao Pu requests the assistance of the
Foreign Office in having him delivered up to the
Chinese Authorities.
