SALVAGE OF MATSURA MARU.

Fear of the Typhoon.

The North German Lloyd steamer Lyeemoon, which

arrived on Wednesday from Saigon, brought the informe-

tion that the tug Taikoo had reported that all was well

with the steamer Matsura Maru which is stranded at

Paracels, and that the vessel still lies in an upright

position. If the typhoon holds off the vessel may be

saved, but reports yesterday were to the effect that
