STEAMSHIP TAI ON",

HONDKONG.

4th June, 1913.

REPORT ON THE "TAI ON" PIRACY.

At 9.55 p.m. on the 2nd of April the Steamship

"Tai On" was pirated in Appx.Lat.22.21 N. Long.113.47 E.

The pirates came on board at Hongkong as passengers at

the above time, I was in my room with the Chief

Engineer the Mate being below. The pirates rushed us

knocking the Engineer back on my sofa and myself on

the floor and set on my chest; they then let us get up

holding our hands above our heads and then the "ate was

brought in and placed in the same position holding

revolvers to our chests. Kept for about three hours in

this position and then tied up for the rest of the time

4 hours 15 minutes. The cabins were ransacked and all

valuables and money and several articles of clothing

stolen.
