Sir:-

With reference to your letter of the 29th, of

November last (36875/1912), respecting the claim of the

China Commercial Steamship Company against the Mexican

Government, I am directed by Secretary Sir E. Grey to

transmit to you herewith, for the information of Mr.

Secretary Harcourt, copies of two despatches from His

Majesty's Minister at Mexico on the subject.

Sir E. Grey proposes, if Mr. Harcourt concurs, to

approve the action taken by Mr. Stronge, as reported in

his despatch No.44 of the 8th. ultimo.
